Riley blends into the rocks to the right of the cornice. He should have been wearing a bright shirt like Charles! Mount Tyrwhitt is on the left as well as a photo-bombing Raven. Here is Riley at the east summit with Elpoca Mountain in the distance. This was a very hot day, but everyone perservered and made it to the top. Here is our summit group. From left to right are my sister Keri, Sharon, Amy, my brother Craig, Roxanne Van Haarlem, Charles Plant, Alex Plant, and Cam Quinn, as well as Riley and myself down in frontOne day I want to traverse the entire ridge. Gap Mountain and Elpoca Mountain are the great looking peaks beyond the ridge.Mount Tyrwhitt was a very memorable trip I did last year. The trail to the col and the arch up on the ridge are both visible in this shot. This area is really beautiful, it was a shame it was a bit too hazy to see distant peaks clearly.Amy and Sharon start heading down with Highwood Ridge and Grizzly Ridge behind them. The lower flanks of Mount Pocaterra are on the left in this shot. I was surprised how much snow remained in this valley considering how hot the summer has been.Storm Mountain has quite a diversity of geological formations on it. One day I hope to get a closer look at one of them unofficially known as "Kissing Bears Arch."Charles and Cam thought this would make a great ski objective in winter and I definitely agree. Mount Arethusa and its oullier "Little Arethusa" are across the valley. This is a family friendly trip and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.Highwood Ridge and Grizzly Ridge tower over the lush green meadows of Pocaterra Cirque.Riley poses near the creek where everyone enjoyed fresh ice cold meltwater directly from a nearby snowpatch.Craig and Roxanne head back to the parking lot after another great day in the Rockies.
