Ahmed Souraya and Mike Kramer take in the already spectacular views of some of the Ten Peaks. From left to right are Allen, Tuzo, Deltaform, and Neptuak.Mike poses on the summit of Eiffel with the tower of the same name below him in the "abyss." Mount Aberdeen is just to the right of the Eiffel Tower. The unsettled skies made views toward Mount Hungabee and the Horseshoe Lakes look ominous. We lucked out with the weather and views despite the clouds.Mike explores a precarious ridge in order to get a better view of the Eiffel Tower. I don't know if his wife would have been too happy about this!Moraine Lake looks as though it is lit from below with its spectacular turquoise glow. Mount Babel rises above it with glaciated Mount Fay to the right followed by Bowlen (in shadow) and QuadraAhmed and I were fairly apprehensive about venturing out onto this exposed sub-peak, but the view of Eiffel Tower was worth it!Deltaform Mountain dominates this shot from the sub-peak and I love the glacier pouring off its left shoulder. It is hard to tell but there is a large glacier under all the scree in the valley below.Mike and Ahmed show off their accomplishment from beside the huge summit cairn. Mount Temple is the giant in the background. Here is a closer look at the Horseshoe Lakes. It appears that the more directly alpine lakes are filled with glacial melt, the more milky their appearance from all the suspended "rock flour."Earlier in the day we saw people crossing the glacier below Mount Fay. It looked daunting from where we were, but someday I would like to try crossing a glacier. Here's Mike again with Deltaform, Neptuak, and the cloud-covered Goodsir Towers behind him. The sub-peak Ahmed and I explored is to the right of him.The descent went relatively smooth for Mike and I, but Ahmed did receive some battle wounds from the scree. The best part of this mountain is the lowest rock band as it is solid with great holds.Pinnacle Mountain's impressive form is showcased by the sun shining through a hole in the clouds while Mount Temple looms in the shadows behind. This is a popular mountain and I can understand why after seeing the amazing summit views! One last look at Pinnacle Mountain before disappearing into the forest and back to the hordes of people at Moraine Lake. Sentinel Pass can be seen on the right.
