This was the first stop on our vacation and we were blown away by the scenery! Sharon and Amy pose below Mount Athabasca and Hilda Peak.Mount Saskatchewan is becoming one of my favorite Icefields Peaks. This photo really shows the open expanses and rolling landscape on the ridge. My family and I went to the highest point on the east end, but next time I want to try the west highpoint (peak on left).Amy and Riley show their enthusiasm for this trip as we near the east summit. Here is the view from the east summit. Cirrus Mountain and The Weeping Wall tower over the highway. Mount Coleman is visible in the distance. The tarn at the base of the Saskatchewan Glacier looked interesting with gray meltwater mixing with turquoise colored water.Mount Bryce seems to pop up into view on every Icefields outing. We were all really impressed with the massive Saskatchewan Glacier pouring down from Castleguard Mountain.Sharon took this photo of Riley with Nigel Peak in the upper left and a gorgeous unnnamed ridge running south of it towards Nigel Pass. The panorama here is really great considering how short of a trip it is.
