Even though this was my third time up here it felt like a new trip because this was the most snow I had ever encountered.Deep blue skies, cool rock outcrops, and fresh snow made for some fantastic scenery! The summit ridge was at its most intimidating this time with snow hiding its actual form.Mount Lougheed's peaks looked exceptionally good on this day.Looking northeast to the dryer peaks of the Barrier lake area. Mount Baldy's three summits are center with Midnight Peak on the right. This is one of my more favorite summit selfies!Yet another day where I felt spoiled by the gorgeous weather. Old Baldy Mountain is the highest peakI am at bit torn when it comes to ski hills as I really enjoy skiing, but I also think they are a real eye-sore. This particular one is Nakiska.Wasootch has one of the most enjoyable ascent ridges I have ever been on. The Fortress is the distinctive shaped peak in the center with massive Mount Kidd on the right.I have no idea what causes trees to do this, but it is actually quite a common phenomenon.
