Andrew took this shot of me working my way up the permanent snow patch just before the steepest part of the route. The hardest part of this trip was climbing up the unstable rubble seen bottom center in this shot. This is a view of the colorful Caldron Lake basin from just southeast of the true summit.Mark walks across the plateau near the summit with Mount Baker dominating the scenery behind him. This was my favorite view of the day. Caldron Lake and Peyto Peak are amazing! Mount Temple can be seen distant center. In the distance are Howse, White Pyramid, a hazy Chephren, all Murchison's towers, and Patterson.Mistaya's small hanging glacier was another highlight of the trip.Looking north to Barbette Mountain with the Blaeberry Valley and Conway Group in the distance. Mount Forbes is hiding in the clouds on the right. The Nugara brothers take a break above the col just before we descend. Here I am at the summit of Mistaya. (photo courtesy Andrew Nugara)I am grateful that Andrew captured this moment on what was the most fun part of this trip!
