This is my favorite lightning shot that I took just across the street from my home in Calgary. The storm took place in summer 2004 and was one of the most powerful I have ever experienced. This Black Bear Cub was one of three bears that my family and I saw while on an early morning drive through Waterton National Park. The Victoria Harbour is a magical place after sunset. Forest fire smoke helps the intensity of colors in this shot. This old, weatherbeaten SD40-2 locomotive has a lot of character. It was previously owned by St. Lawrence and Hudson, but Canadian Pacific put a makeshift logo on it. (Location: Alyth Yard, Calgary)Kayaking around this Sunken Tugboat in Squirrel Cove on Cortes Island was quite eerie. At high tide most of it is submerged.
